- On 26th - 27th November 2021, Storm Arwen hit the North East coast. The highest significant wave heights ever recorded by the Cell 1 Regional Monitoring Programme were measured by the wave buoys deployed at Newbiggin (7.20m), Whitby (8.01m) and Scarborough (9.29m).
- Full Measures Surveys are now fully completed, with data being processed and analysed.
